Micro-Business Our micro-business development program seeks to address one of the greatest barriers to the development of Zambia – the limited amount of capital available for starting small businesses. Many would-be entrepreneurs either lack the business skills necessary to be successful and/or cannot secure the necessary capital required to start a new business. For many, even if they could secure a loan, interest rates are excessive and crippling to the creation of new businesses. The Zambia Project seeks to create small “banks” designed to assist local people to start new businesses and to gain the business training necessary to help them succeed.
